Welcome to the Department of Robotics and Automation at Gojan School of Business and Technology, Redhills. The department was established in 2024 with an intake of 30 students. We provide a vibrant learning environment supported by well-qualified faculty, enabling students to explore the field of robotics and automation. Our curriculum is designed to offer a strong foundation in the fundamental principles of robotics and automation, while also incorporating the latest advancements in the field.

Laboratories
The Department of Robotics and Automation provides students with access to specialized facilities designed for the study of intelligent machines. Our labs focus on the design, simulation, and implementation of robotic systems.
- Robot Modelling and Simulation Laboratory: Focuses on developing kinematic and dynamic models of robotic manipulators and trajectory planning.
- Manufacturing Technology Laboratory: Hands-on experience in manufacturing components and understanding machining processes.
- Industrial Automation Laboratory: Training in programming and operating automation systems for industrial process design.
- Mechatronics and Control Systems Laboratory: Integration of mechanical systems with electronic control and sensor feedback.
- Microprocessor and Embedded Systems Laboratory: Study of hardware-software interfacing for robotic control and intelligent systems.

Robotics Demonstration
A hands-on robotics demonstration showcased students’ practical understanding of robotics and automation through the design and operation of a mobile robot. The activity highlighted key concepts such as system integration, control mechanisms, and mechanical coordination. With active participation and feedback from faculty, the session promoted experiential learning, innovation, and technical confidence among students.

Department News
On February 18, 2026, a workshop on 3D printing technology was conducted to introduce students to the fundamentals of additive manufacturing. The session included hands-on experience with 3D printing tools and machines, enabling participants to understand real-world applications in mechanical, automation, and robotics domains. The workshop effectively bridged the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical industry skills, enhancing technical competence and innovation.
On February 19, 2026, a One-Day Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme was conducted to inspire second-year students to explore entrepreneurial opportunities. The session, led by industry experts, provided insights into startup ecosystems, digital marketing strategies, and government support schemes. The programme encouraged innovation, business thinking, and career exploration, with digital certificates awarded to all participants.
