The Department of Biotechnology was established with the vision to produce biotechnology engineers who exhibit strong theoretical understanding, productive skills, ethical standards, and social responsibilities so they can support industry, healthcare, agriculture, and environmental sustainability. The Department aims to deliver quality education in biotechnology through effective teaching–learning processes and updated curriculum. It also aim promote research awareness, innovation, and serve society through sustainable biotechnological solutions and professional ethics.

Laboratories
The Department of Bio Technology offers a range of specialized laboratories designed to foster scientific inquiry and technical mastery in the life sciences. Our facilities provide students with hands-on experience in molecular biology, biochemistry, and bioprocess engineering.
- Biochemistry Laboratory: Practical study of the chemical basis of life, focusing on the analysis of biomolecules and enzyme kinetics.
- Cell Microbiology Laboratory: Hands-on training in microscopy, microbial cultivation, staining, and identification techniques.
- Molecular Biology and Genetic Engineering Laboratory: Specialized facility for the study and manipulation of genetic material and cellular processes.
- Analytical Instrumentation Laboratory: Training in the operation of modern analytical instruments for qualitative and quantitative analysis of biological samples.
- Bioprocess and Chemical Engineering Laboratory: Focuses on fluid mechanics, heat and mass transfer, and reaction kinetics applied in biotechnology.
- Immunology Laboratory: Understanding cell behavior, organization, and the principles of immune system responses.
