About the Department
Welcome to the Department of Aeronautical Engineering at the Gojan School of Business and Technology in Chennai. Our undergraduate program in Aeronautical Engineering specializes in value-based engineering education. The Department has put its effort to secure University Rank each and every year. So far, we have secured 11 University Rank Our faculty are well-qualified and dedicated to imparting the latest knowledge and training to students.
We prepare our students for successful careers in Industry, Research, and Academics by developing their ability to synthesize new technology in the field of aviation, space exploration, and defence systems. Our department has well-equipped laboratory facilities such as High-Speed Jets, Wind Tunnels, and Jet Engines and also, we have a Centre of Excellence – Centre for Design and Additive Manufacturing (3D Printing) and UAV Drone making and flying which offer valuable hands-on experience to students.
Every week on Saturday apart from academic’s students engaged in Club activities and Placement Training and competitions, promoting their holistic development. We provide opportunities for our students to work as team members or project leaders on multidisciplinary projects, promoting lifelong learning and professional ethics. We also encourage our students to participate in competitions to showcase their talents and hone their skills. With our faculty, cutting-edge technology, and professional affiliations, we offer an exceptional learning experience in Aeronautical Engineering.

- Mr Suresh Raj L M.E (Ph.D)., Head of the Department of Aeronautical Engineering , Gojan School of Business and Technology Has obtained B.E Aeronautical Engineering in 2011 , M.E Industrial Engineering in the year 2014 and currently pursuing Ph.D. in the field of Welding Technology. He started his teaching profession in the year 2014. His area of interest includes Propulsion and Flight dynamics. Department received excellence award for the year 2022. He has completed 5 NPTEL courses. Has undergone Innovation Ambassador (IA) training Advanced Level. Organized Drone Pilot Training

Program Educational Objective (PEOs):
PEO 1: Graduates will possess a deep understanding and practical application of fundamental concepts in Aeronautical Engineering, enabling them to excel in advanced studies, research, and industry.

PSO 1: Graduates Apply advanced knowledge in aerodynamics, propulsion, structures, and flight mechanics to develop innovative solutions for complex aeronautical engineering problems.
PSO 2: Graduates Utilize practical problem-solving skills and hands-on experience along with computer-aided engineering (CAE) packages and simulation tools to design, manufacture, test, and maintain aeronautical systems that meet industry and societal needs.
