About The Department

The Department of Information Technology (IT) provides numerous benefits to organizations in today’s digital age. With their technological expertise, IT professionals manage and maintain the organization’s hardware, software, and networks, ensuring smooth operations. They offer ongoing support and troubleshooting, minimizing downtime and maximizing system efficiency. Additionally, IT departments handle data management and security, implementing robust strategies to protect critical information from breaches and ensuring data backup and recovery. IT departments also play a vital role in technology planning and implementation, identifying solutions that streamline processes and drive innovation. The department of Information Technology was started in the year 2007 and it has an intake of 30 students for the effective implementation of academics. IT department is permanently affiliated with Anna University Chennai and has an ISO certification.

Dr.R.Vinoth is the Head of the Department for the Department of Information Technology at Gojan School of Business and Technology. He obtained his B.Tech (Information Technology) at Hindustan College of Engineering, Chennai in 2011, M.E (Computer Science and Engineering) at G.K.M College of Engineering and Technology. Chennai in 2014 and has Completed Doctor of Philosophy Ph.D (Information and Communication Engineering) at Anna University Chennai in January 2022. He has an academic experience of around 10 years in Teaching various computer related subjects. He has participated in many national and international conferences held around India. He has published 3 SCI/SCOPUS Indexed Journals and has published more than 5 International Journal research paper in the area of Cloud computing and Internet of Things. He received the GOJAN EXCELLANCE AWARD for producing best academic results and received NALLASIRIYAR AWARD in 2022 by Lions Clubs Chennai.
